About Us!

Wow, hard to believe but it was in 1992, that Pet Wear, a family enterprise of Lucie & Julie Hensley, responded to a fun and creative need of dog and cat lovers everywhere, to design their own next fabulous designer dog or breakaway cat collar. It wasn't long before people were developing wardrobes for their dogs or cats.

Today, our clients are all haute couture Pet Wear designers, choosing from over 500 designs and 20 nylon colors as they custom style designer dog collars, breakaway cat collars, or leashes or harnesses or martingale collars or even horse halters!

Pet Wear designer dog collars, leashes and harnesses have participated in weddings, gallery openings and gala events as well as the daily walk to the park. The fact that Pet Wear's choices assure durability, and good looks is no accident.

Many of the animals you see on these pages are shelter darlings. Whether they succeeded in finding homes or did not and were euthanized, we hope that their images will help you consider (and encourage others to consider) a next pet from a shelter or rescue. We also hope that you will consider sharing your Pet Wear experience with us.
